| "The greatest mandolinist
in the world"
Born in Split (former Jugoslavija) where he got a diploma
in classical guitar,
Aco Bocina plays mandolin with a complete revolutionary stile.
He is gifted with a unique unmistakable technique which makes
of him a mandolin virtuoso. He is able to obtain sounds that
astonish his larger and larger audience crowding Arenas, Thethres
and Cathedrals where Aco performs his very special concerts.
The music he proposes ranges from classical to jazz, from
symphonic pop-rock to the variations on themes by famous Authors.
In short, music has no boundaries nor limits for Aco Bocina.
Every musical composition of his own is a striking combination
of technical masterpieces and imaginative musical ideas.
Back from a triumphant long tour in Austria, Germany, Belgium,
The Netherlands and Danmark, he is now staying in Italy, engaged
in a series of concerts which range from Cathedrals to small
clubs, from arenas to theatres, to open-air town squares,
to holiday villages, wherever it's possible to make music
and to gather enthusiastic listeners.
On the recording side, after a first album released in Germany,
Aco Bocina has collected collaborations to albums of important
Italian Artists as Pierangelo Bertoli, Fabio Concato, Grazia
Di Michele, and others.
In 1992 Aco Bocina was awarded the International Prize of
Culture "San Valentino d'Oro", sponsored by the
Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and started working on this
album "Ad Libitum" which was released in 1995.
Since then, the popularity of Aco has been growing and growing,
taking part in important TV shows in Italy and abroad, and
continuing with his never ending tour of concerts.
After the release of a maxi-single, Aco is now working to
his new album, soon to be released.
