My name is Massimiliano Vasi, I was
born in Bologna on 18/02/'79and my Zodiac sign is Acquarius.
When I was 11 years old a deep passion for guitar grew up in
me: I remember that my father used to have a semi-acoustic jazz
by Eco, which he still keeps.I could spend hours listening to
him, like possessed by some force...then I learnt my early chords,
and then...
When I was around 14, leaving aside my shyness, I put together
my early rock-band, of which I was singer and lead guitar: we
"tried to play" Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses, Vasco,
Ligabue.
Our early concerts were certainly rough, but "alive for
the sake of doing them", between smoke and beer, and people
used to have great fun...Of course it was little money, anyhow
we would mount and dismount our equipment, ending around 5 in
the morning... but we'd do anything for playing.I spent a long
time in filling up my drawers with dreams, avoiding the "usual
tour", i didn't do it on purpose !!?I had walked out like
this, without any noise......but I was there with my silence,
without many words.. I was right there !!!
The 5 years of the high school were the most intense:..."running
out of school (God only knows how many times I was around downtown
Bologna at 8 o'clock in the morning with some other stupid !)
..."the records and music instruments shops"..."quarrelling
with friends"..."going out on friday night and saturday
night... and so on"..."some love-story ended (or never
started) in the usual boring way"..."going out all
alone"...
After many smiles and some tears lost under the moon's delicate
looks, I got my "Art School" diploma, in July '98.
I'm currently working in an "underground" radio, I
love writing songs, music, lyrics, and reading, when I have
time!!! I go to clubs and bars, specially the "live music"
ones, sometimes I go to the discotheques (I say sometimes !)
Now I've just finished recording my first record, a CD-single
titled "Girotondo" ("Ring-a-ring-o'-roses",
how funny the English word for it!), of which you can see the
sleeve under here. Hope you buy it and you like it !!!
