Gabriel Oscar Rosati
Between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic unique blend of
Latin Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian rhythms; trhough all original
material... a crossing style between easy listening, salsa,
jazz festivals, club dates, latin-brazilian discos.
Gabriel, the band leader, Italian Brazilian brass soloist,
singer, author, arranger, has been presenting this project
for the past five years, touring U.S.A., central and south
America, Europe, Japan.
Gabriel Rosati, enfant-prodige of "latin" trumpet,
graduated at the Conservatorio di Pescara when he was only
17; after collaborating in Italy with Pino Daniele, Vinicio
Capossela, James Senese, Massimo Urbani, Elsa Soares and Fred
Bongusto, went to the States, performing with artists as Santana,
Grag Allman, John Lee Hooker, Oreste Vilatos Latin All Stars
and such, from San Franciso and Las Vegas to Europe, to Tokyo
and Osaka.
Participation to several recordings, the release of his own
two music books with CD "Latin American Trumpet Music"e
"The Salsa trumpet" and to the honour of a cover
on the American "Jazz Player"with enclosed Cd and
"cover story", Gabriel has released 4 solo albums
for Voyage Records e Americatone Records, always in the US.
Back to Italy in 1997, without losing contact with the USA
"scene", Gabriel formed his own group "BRAZILATAFRO
PROJECT", composed by valuable international musicians
and with a repertoire that mixes Latin Jazz with Brazilian,
Afro-Cuban rhythms and a touch of Mediterranean feeling; now
he performs in the most famous Festivals in Italy and abroad,
in workshops Afro-Cubane/Brasilian music, in concerts and
in many musical situations.
After the early two CDs "Brazilatafro project"
vol. 1 e vol. 2, released only abroad, finally gets released
in Italy, by the enthusiastic independent label Bumshiva Music,
his new "Brazilatafro Project Vol. 3", containing
12 brand new compositions, all composed by Gabriel and beautifully
performed by himself with his Brazilatafro Group.
These new recordings are now being performed in his concerts
and Festivals where Gabriel gets constantly invited.
