This is a rather special "dance"
compilation.
Of each title there are different versions or re-mixes: be the
"club-version", long versions for discotheque mixing,
be the "radio version", special edits for radio programming,
be in some cases the "original version", that is the
original recording.
Disc-jockeys know well what we are talking about, as they utilize
both the vinyl maxi-singles, and the CD-singles containing various
versions of the same title, for their work in discotheques or
radios.
But this compilation addresses to a wider audience: to kids
who want to organize a private party at home or under the Summer
stars, and also to whoever wants to listen, in the car or anywhere,
to the most recent discotheque hits.
And indeed here we have hits :
"Passion", interpreted by RED SATIN, is a title
that has been circulating in internet, in the re-mix made
by GerrY DJ for the "Dance Web" in real-audio, before
being down-loaded on CD-R by other DJs of the same circuit,
and then programmed in the most specialized radios and discotheques:
starting from a voice and an interpretation " Donna Summer
style", the track becomes sweeping in the various re-mixes,
not to mention the beautiful and sensual "radio version",
turned into rhythm'n'blues .
"Glorious", sung by young and pretty newcomer SARA,
was born as a "Celine Dion"- style melodic song,
composed by musicians like Vince Tempera and Tony Labriola,
but gets transfigured into disco-sound by Lucio Boiardi and
Marco Giovannini DJ, and is currently very well programmed
in discotheques and specialized radios.
With "Feel like it" we are in the States, in the
most "trendy" discos of Los Angeles and New York:
that's where MERA is getting high popularity with this title,
here in its "club" and "radio" versions..
"Sword of Legend" by SCIRIO is, on the contrary,
the typical late night (or early morning) techno track, an
instrumental tune filled with "acid" and psychedelic
sounds.
With "I remember time" sensual NEERA takes us back
to a more "commercial" disco sound, with an easy
and "Mediterranean" melody.
Finally, misterious RED SATIN offers us a "bonus track"
titled "Musica Viva", a "soft dance" on
the borders with a "pop ballad", a real gift for
amateurs.
On the whole, beautiful female voices, the rythms and the
grooves more suitable for warm Summer evenings, the most fascinating
soundtracks for our summer parties.
